Wedding Breakfast memories

Tuesday, 13 September 2011

When we got married, choosing what to eat for the Wedding Breakfast was a major part of the planning process. Eventually, we decided on a hog roast. However, with my Dad in the meat industry (a glorified butcher really), this hog needed to be the best quality pork possible, which meant heading to Launceston to track down the perfect beast.

It was then spit roasted over an open fire... pretty gruesome for some, but completely delicious.

For dessert, we really couldn't decide - so chose three puddings instead of one! We narrowed it down to tarte au citron, delice au chocolate, and of course English strawberries with meringue and clotted cream. The inspiration being from a cafe gourmand I had in La Clusaz in the French Alps the previous year. YUM
